We Watched A Proud Indian Chief Standing Alone, High On A Cliff
We Watched Him, Wondering What He Was Doing?
We Watched Him With Outstretched Hands, Reaching Towards The Sky
We Watched Him, As He Appeared To Be An Eagle Ready To Take Flight
We Watched Him, As He Said A Prayer For His Mother Earth
We Watched Him Shed A Single Tear
A Single Tear For The Destruction Being Done To His Mother Earth
We Saw Him Dressed In His Beautiful, Eagle Feathered, Head Dress
We Listened To Him Chant
We Did Not Understand The Meaning Of His Words
We Watched His Beautiful Dance To An Echoing, Thunderous Drumbeat
We Watched As He Once Again Shed A Single Tear
We Saw The Spirits That Were Surrounding Him
We Watched, As We Sensed His Spirit Enter Our Bodies
We Felt His Presence As His Blood Coursed Through Our Veins
We Saw His Visions Through His Eyes
We Saw The Memories That Encompassed Him
We Experienced The Aura That Surrounded Him
We Saw The Two Rivers That Were Flooding From His Eyes
We Saw Our Spirit Wolves As They Walked Together In Peace
We Understood Then, The Meaning Of Why He Was Crying
We Saw His Fears With Our Own Eyes
We Felt His Sacrifices Of Long Ago
We Felt His Anger, Pain And All Of Of His Emotions
We Felt His Hate And His Forgiveness
We Felt His Dreams And Saw His Visions
We Felt His Compassion Burn It's Way Into Our Own Souls
We Saw His Gifts To The White Man
We Saw Him Being Looked Down On And Lied To
We Saw His Great Nation's Past, The Stealing Of His Land
We Saw His Personal Freedoms Taken Away From Him
We Saw Him Being Put On Land That He Did Not Own Or Want
We Saw His Heart Breaking From Betrayal
We Saw His Great Pain For Lost, Loved Ones
We Saw The Desecration Of His Indian People
We Saw The Senseless Annihilation Of His Once Great Nation
We Saw Him Cry For His Wife, Daughters, Sons And His Grandchildren
We Saw Him Cry For His Mother And Father
We Saw Him Cry Silently For His Mother Earth
We Watched Him Waiting For His Horses
We Watched As Other Men Rode Away On Them
We Watched As His Freedom And His Land Were Stripped From Him
We Saw Shame And Total Disregard To His Mother Earth
We Saw The Destruction Of His Wolf Brother
We Saw The Destruction Of His Life, The Buffalo
We Saw The Destruction Of His Land And That Of His Own People
We Saw His Villages Destroyed By Fire
We Saw His Spirit Eagle Fall From The Sky
Shot Down By An Uncaring Outsider
We Saw His Fish Die Because Of Polluted Rivers And Streams
We Felt His Pain, His Anger And His Love For Mother Earth
We Saw Him Not Controlling His Own Destiny
We Saw His Vision Of The Future Yet To Come To Mother Earth
We Watched Him, Still Shedding Tears For All Mankind
We Stood Silently And Shed Tears With Him
We Felt As One With Him
We Felt Regret Deep Within Our Own Hearts
The Two Rivers Flooded From Our Own Eyes
We Mourned His Many Losses
We Finally Understood What He Was There To Teach Us
We All Need To Teach Each Other To Respect Mother Earth And All Living Things
We Need To Understand What We Took
Before We Can Understand What It Is We Need To Give Back
We Watched, In Awe Of Him
