1/2 Cup Butter, Softened
1 1/2 Cup Flaked Cooconut
1 3/4 Cup Sifted Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 Tsp Orange Juice Stemless Marischino Cherries


Drain Wherries, "WELL"!!!
Mix Butter And Sugar
Add Juice And Coconut
Place One Cherry In Center Of Each "Macaroon" And Roll Into A Ball
Roll In Graham Cracker Crumbs

Freeze Or Refrigerate Until Served

Chip Oatmeal Cookies


2 Cups Dark Brown Sugar
2 Cups Granulated Sugar
2 Cups Crisco
4 Extra Large Eggs
4 Ts Vanilla
4 Tb Milk
4 Cups Flour
2 Ts Baking Powder
2 Ts Baking Soda
2 Ts Salt
2 12 Oz Pkg Semi-Sweet Choc-Chips
4 Cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal


Preheat Oven To 350
Cream Together Until Fluffy The Sugars, Shortening, Eggs, Vanilla And Milk
Sift Together The Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda And Salt
Gradually Add To Creamed Mixture
Mix Well With A Spoon
Stir In Chocolate Chips And Oatmeal
Drop By Teaspoonfuls On Lightly Greased Cooking Sheet
Bake For 12-15 Minutes

Peanut Butter Cookies


1/2 Cup Shortening Or You Can Use Half Butter
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Extra Large Egg
1 1/4 Cups Sifted Flour
2/4 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt


Cream Shortening And Peanut Butter Until Blended
Gradually Add Sugars And Beat Until Fluffy
Agg Egg And Beat Thoroughly
Sift Remaining Ingredients Together
Divide In Half And Add To Creamed Mixture, One At A Time
Mix Till Well Blended After Each Addition
Shape Dough Into 1 1/4-Inch Balls
Place The Balls 3 Inches Apart On Lightly Greased Cookie Sheets
Flatten With A Fork To Make Criss-Cross Pattern Or use Cookie Stamps
Bake At 375F For About 10 Minutes

Makes About 3 Dozen

Ribbon Cookies


1 1/2 Cup Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Egg Beaten
1 Oz Chocolate..Melted


Mix And Sift Flour, Baking Powder And Salt
Cream Together Shortening And Sugar Until Light And Fluffy
Add Vanilla And Egg
Add Flour Mixture To Creamed Mixture
Divide Dough Into 2 Parts
Add Melted Chocolate To One Part
Wrap Each Portion In Wax Paper And Chill Until Firm
Pat Dough In Alternate Layers In A Small Rectangular Pan
Chill Until Firm
Cut Into 1/8 Inch Slices
Bake On Ungreased Cookie Sheet In Hot Oven (400) 6-8 Minutes

Rolled Sugar Cookies


1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
2 Cup Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder


Cream Together The Margarine, Sugar, Vanilla And Egg Until Light And Fluffy
Add The Flour And Baking Powder
Blend Until Well Mixed
Chill The Dough For 2 Hours Or Overnight
Roll Out On A Lightly Floured Surface Until 1/8-Inch Thick
Cut With A Cookie Cutter
Place On An Ungreased Baking Sheet
Bake In A 375 Degree Oven Until Lightly Browned, About 10 Minutes

Cool Before Storing

Soft Raisin Cookies


1 Cup Butter, Softened
3/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Ts Vanilla
3 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Wheat Germ
2 Ts Baking Powder
3/4 Ts Baking Soda
1/2 Ts Salt
1/2 Ts Nutmeg
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Cup Raisins


Beat Butter, Sugars, Eggs And Vanilla In A Large Mixer Bowl

Combine Flour
Wheat Germ
Baking Powder
Baking Soda
And Nutmeg In A Medium Bowl

Add To Butter Mixture Alternately With Milk
Mix Well After Each Addition
Stir In THe Raisins
Drop Dough By Teaspoonfuls, 2" Apart, Onto Ungreased Cookie Sheets
Bake In 350'F Oven 10-12 Minutes Or Until Light Brown

Immediately Remove To Wire Racks To Cool
